Hungry in Hungary! 🇭🇺💃🌱
I just landed in Budapest and I landed hungry in Hungary! Something about this place just makes my stomach growl! 😉 Excited to try the vegan versions of what Hungarian food has to offer, I hit up Happy Cow and found my way across the city to this highly rated, quaint restaurant called Napfenyes not far away from the river! It was a lovely walk with the beautiful city all lit up at night! When I got there, I picked the most unique things I could find on the menu! First off, a COLD cherry soup which was sweet and sour at the same time and adorned with vegan whipped cream. Personally, this was more of a dessert dish to me but it was excitingly new and really refreshing! Next up was supposed to be ONE main course but I couldn't choose which ONE so I got both a ratatouille made with in house seitan and the Hungarian pizza on spelt bread (spelt is an ancient grain said to be easier to digest than regular white flour.) I'm gluten free because gluten makes me into playdough but sometimes spelt let's me away with it... and so I ordered it optimistically but after a few bites I was down for the count half way to lala land! I tell you though, it was delicious! Hands down winner of the night was the ratatouille, I loved the flavors and would eat it again omitting the seitan any time! From Budapest with love! XO, Cece 💓
Thank you for being here for me, so I can be here for you.
Enjoy your day and stay creative!
Botty loves you. <3
