How to start vaping in 2017 (Don't listen to the rest)

in #vaping7 years ago (edited)

When I first started vaping I went to my local shop an asked for a very beginner starterkit. That was the first mistake I made.

You can devide vapers in two categories:

  1. The ones who just want to stop smoking
  2. The ones who vape as a lifestyle

When you decide to start vaping you are most likely one of the people form the first category. Just like me. So you enter your local shop and ask for the startkit and you get something like this :

But that's crap. The most new vapers who just want to quit smoking want something that feels like a cigarette and maybe has the taste of it. But thats nearly impossible! But that's irrelevant. I you want successfully switch you need to focus on the taste.

So you need a setup witch generates a very good taste. With an setup like the one above you have no chance for a good taste generation.

You need something like this:

Liquid

The second thing is the liquid. You don't want to buy Max-VG or High-VG liquid as a starter. They are perfect for massive clouds but if you are not in building your own coils it will be maybe too thick for the standard replacement coils of the manufacturers. The best to start is to get an liquid with ist 50PG / 50 VG or with a higher PG concentration. The higher the PG concentration the thiner the liquid. If the liquid is to thick you risk dryhits and you need to replace your coil. This is not what you want!

I hope this little starter article may helps you to make your switch from smoking to vaping.

Good read... even if the devices you showed off are a little outdated... but nevertheless, the hints with the liquid are good...
