Valentine's Day: intimately engaged as lizards

14th of February was the day of Love, Valentine's Day.
But what exactly does this day mean? For many, including shops, restaurants, hotel chains and others, the activities around this day are very commercial and the primary message "Love for each other" threatens to fall into the background.
When I took a picture of two lizards, which were intimately engaged in my front yard, I immediately thought of Valentine's Day. Why do we as human struggle to invest in gifts that we waste a lot of money on, but when it comes to love, appreciation and respect, all of these aspects are present in very minimal forms?
Why can we not be like these lizards? Just the nature around us and appreciate what we are offered for free: fresh air and love to be ourselves in our own element.
