1Ramp - Android App Updates: Followers/Following List, Nested Comments and more
1. Updates are always exciting!
We released the first alpha on August 15, 2018. Ever since, we have been receiving bug reports, suggestions and feedback from the Steem community. We are constantly working on them to improve the 1Ramp App.
We released an immediate update (V0.0.11) after that with performance improvements, delete option on your posts and a feature to see followers/following of any user. Along with that, there were minor bug fixes.
This announcement will cover what's new on 1Ramp from the last update to this latest one (v0.0.13).
2. What's new on 1Ramp -
2.1. You can now reply to comments. (Nested Comments)
Take your discussions and community interaction to new levels by replying to comments directly from the 1ramp app. In this update, the comments will be visible as plain text. Soon we'll support formatted text and images in the comments too.
2.2. See your followers and following
Now you can see the list of who follows you and the people you are following on 1Ramp. You can follow/unfollow them right from the followers/following screen.
2.3. Now you can delete your own posts
You can delete your own posts from the profile section of the app. Any post can be deleted as long as no one upvotes/rates it. There should be zero engagement on your posts for it to be deleted.
2.4. Improved detailed view for blogs.
Our users reported that some of the images, video embeds or markup texts were loading as plain texts (links too). In this update, we tried to cover most of the edge cases and now the images, links, video embeds will appear correctly.
2.5. Enhanced App performance to save your time.
The most common issue for all the users was that the app was slow to load images. We started refactoring the app to optimize performance and deliver a good user experience across all the android devices. Optimizing the app is an ongoing process but now you'll experience faster loading for images and text.
3. What is 1Ramp?
For those who are new to the 1Ramp app. 1Ramp is a social media platform for the creative communities. It is built on top of Steem Blockchain. You can join communities of your interest (art, photography, literature etc.) and share your work with your followers and the community. The most interesting part is that you don't need to write markdown for blogging. We built a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor so that sharing your work is just about writing words, uploading photos and publishing it. 1Ramp's Android application is available on Google Play Store and we'll launch the alpha web app soon.

This is a great update to the app, with much appreciated fixes and additions. As someone who installed it when it was released, I'm very happy to see the work continuing.
I had some issues with the posts, both in regards to content, and in regards to presentation. So let's talk about that.
When it comes to content, I would want to see more of it. For someone coming into this post as their first time hearing about 1Ramp, this is super confusing. The "What is 1Ramp" section can't be at the end. Most people who don't know will never make it to that section. It is also quite thin. A deeper, more detailed explanation would have been useful.
As to the presentation side, let's start with the positive: The visuals you used are top notch. Those little animations are super helpful!
The text is, for the most part, okay. But, as I said, I had some issues. Let's cite some examples:
"Ever since, we are receiving." "We are" is something that is happening right now. When you're talking about something that started in the past and is still ongoing, the correct form is "we have been."
"from the last and this latest update (V0.0.13)." It took me a while to figure out what this even means. That's because you used "and" when you should have used "to." Also, moving "update" would help: "from the last update to this latest one (V0.0.13)."
"Now you can reply on comments" Would be better as "You can now reply to comments."
Issues such as these mar this otherwise excellent update. You can do better.
