the main idea of this application is working with google calendar , google calendar already can sync with your google profile and show you birthdays and other stuff . but the thing that is missing on google calendar is syncing with other applications like facebook .telegram etc ... and this is where this application come in hands , also this application is using google calendar because that application already have millions of users . so the po is using google calendar because the application have missing features , and also have millions of users that needs the kind of features his application is offering .

your suggestion will change the whole idea of the application , and wil make the application lose the base of users that use google calendar.

also if you check the repository of this application you will find that one of the features is ( Hide the app icon after setting it up so that it does not get in your way ) if you add a calendar to this app you can't hide the app because you will need to check it every time you get a notification
