RE: Particle physics @ Utopian - Implementing an LHC analysis on a computer: the physics objects
hahah , if i didnt know any better i'd think you were trying to make me have a go at it :p ...
i stil have a book here i bought long ago but i actually never started :
As you can see from the html version a long time ago in a galaxy far away, when i had this most exciting job for the government (which in my case means taking photocopies and writing letters because that's all im good for without a degree , i dont think they actualy hire people anymore who don't have a college or preferable uni degree, not even for making coffee lol). The job was SO boring and so quickly finished i went out at noon to the bookstore a lot and bought some, got the IT-guy to give me full access and learned html lol. But never got to the rest, when the contract ended and everyone told me to go "talk to this one" and "talk to that one" because they could make sure i could stay i thanked them and said that i might come back when i'm 50 because otherwise i would die of boredom if i stayed there ... (people totally declared me crazy for refusing that)
as for your question, im not sure if you're asking the right person since i had computer for a friend since i was eight (my trusty c64 and after getting bored out of latin/math i ended up studying 'modern' languages in high school)
BUT if i would take a logical approach to the question (regardless of personal talent of people) i'd say C is easier because there are no exceptions, and living language always has exceptions . Programming logic remains the same over all languages (the core at least) so C would be easier, but i bet to a lot of people it's not :)
In French, you have exceptions, and exceptions of exceptions, and exceptions of exceptions of exceptions. And no logics. C is definitely easier.
Interesting to learn more about you by the way. I would have made the same choice. Getting bored at 25 or 30? No way! :)
well, i'll keep the seven live stories for later ... its not all been sunshine and sandy beaches, but that probably shines through, i think i'm slightly damaged lol ...
it was really one of the most (easy but) boring jobs ever, i literally ran off, after three months i had like 100 hours in minus because i always left early
and they still wanted to keep me on at the end
go figure
government ... tsk :p
i'm behind on the reading again, i thought one post per day would give me more time to check out other people since im already 90% chaos but so far i seem to barely manage replying to replies and getting my own post ready. I sometimes wonder what it feels like to have a structured mind lol
I understand. I am myself in troubles with keeping answering everyone at the moment... The flow is really huge. ^^
