New Proposed Icon Design for Cool Reader
Here’s my design icon for Cool Reader, an open source app.
About the App
Cool Reader app is free and open source. It is available in android and windows version.
Proposed Versus Official Icon
In making my proposed icon, I also used a book but it is closed and captured the front view, using the color in the cover of the original icon. I added reading glasses to symbolize the word cool at the same time as a tool in reading.
Concept
A new object, the spectacles have been added, then I also used a closed book.
Color Variations and Color Codes
I choose to use the original color that shows in the official icon. Then I picked four more colors for more choices.

Fonts Style Use
The font style I use in the presentation is "AR JULIAN".
Benefits/Improvement
This design will be another concept in refining the icon. I introduced a new object which is the spectacles in the creation of my proposed icon while maintaining the color of the book cover used in the official icon. I also provided vector files so anyone can reproduce or edit the proposed icon.

I used the Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 in the creation of this new icon as well as the presentation.
