You have serveral things you can do in the following order (all voluntary):

Participate in any of our bounty airdrops and earn rewards
Wait for 1UP to be released in October for the below points
Use your free ten daily upvotes and earn rewards
Write amazing content under any tag represented by a community on 1UP
Follow with some of your daily voting power your favorite communities and earn high curation rewards
