This will sound cynical to some, but it's my most generous interpretation.

Biden & Co. don't know which path will benefit them most so they'll do nothing at all until after the election.

This gives them enough cover with Harris voters that might waver in between them and now as Israel burns civilians alive in Gaza and Lebanon.

They'll worry about after the election after the election. After that they'll probably pull out one of the old hits:

1. "Israel heard are complaints and after 60 days of starving people has begun to allow the first trucks back in" or,

2. "We don't think Israel has done anything wrong despite many reports showing that they did."
