This incredible monument is a tribute to two cities dedicated to agriculture: Acarigua-Araure. With more than 41 meters of height, it is imposed to testify the agricultural production potential of the region. From a distance, it welcomes visitors from all over the world and is considered the highest monument to agriculture in the world.
This work was never inaugurated, being its initial project 30 meters higher. Its designer was the architect Gustavo Legorburu and the structural calculation by the engineer Henrique Arnal and it is called La Espiga, representing a cluster of cereals bending 90 degrees.
