Portrait of A Red Rose - Step By Step Drawing

Hi guys, I´m back!!

It was just yesterday that I posted last and I already miss Steemit now and you my friends! Yeah, I really miss you all! I have here a little present for you!!! A lovely red rose.... and I have uploaded the step-by-step images as I was working on it.

Here are the materials I used:
Color pencil
Graphite pencil
Vellum paper
Signo white pen

So here are the steps on how to draw the red rose.

1.. Sketch the outline. After sketching clean all the unnecessary guides and lines to be ready for the next procedure. Just make sure it´s always clean.

2.. Next is coloring. Apply the base color with a smooth touch.

3.. Fill all parts with your base color.

4.. Next step...darkening some parts, apply some depth.

5.. Blending the colors... learn how to use and experiment different colors. Here, I have a red base color, so I need to blend this using a darker red color as well as pink and orange to make its image look a little bit natural.

6.. After that, we move on to the final step of our drawing which is shading and cleaning. Apply a graphite pencil on the dark areas and make sure it´s clean. Once you´re done, check your drawing if you miss out some details.

7.. It´s done! That would be for today, guys!! I hope these steps are worth taking into consideration when you make your drawings. If you have some questions please feel free to ask me.
