Very interesting post. Many mistakes have been made by translation. What you think you know, is not it's original meaning. Even the old testament is plagued by this. Consider that the original Hebrew was translated to Greek, aramaic, latin, and of course to many different languages ( As of October 2017 the full Bible has been translated into 670)
An perfect example is Michelangelo's depiction of Moses with horns.. that is what "keren" was translated too. My tradition say's it wasn't horns (the translation), but his face beamed with light after he came down from Har Sinai.
