Gotta love a good purge post. I've been working on one of my own. But then yesterday the heating oil tank started leaking and I had to spend the day making dump runs clearing out my grandfather's old garbage from the basement so the workers have the room to install a new tank. (We're looking at $3000, which makes me want to purge in another way.) But at least that's another ton of his crap gone forever.
As I said to a fellow at the dump, "everything that comes into the house has to leave it sometime."
Glad the cats are rolling with the punches, so to speak. Whenever we fired up the vacuum cleaner, Puss would disappear for half a day at least.
That's kind of funny about Goodwill being overrun by the Kondo craze.
Good for you, cleaning all that out of the basement! So sorry about the oil tank leak, though. Ouch!
Yeah, one day my mom and I plan to tackle her attic - admittedly it's not all her and dad's stuff, there's mine and my brother's stuff up there, too - I know I'm missing some books, for example, because I've been through the massive collection here and some are not included, lol. But it will be a CHORE for sure.
Maggie is a brave ladeh. She came out pretty quickly yesterday after all the chaos. I was proud of her! :)
