ulog #22: Timi-Ede New Town Design

Good day to all my fans & celebrities ( #uloggers ). It's another edition of my day, #ulog and today i will be talking about the completion of my assignment on A NEW TOWN DESIGN FOR TIMI-EDE IN OSUN STATE NIGERIA.

Today this assignment that started some days ago was completed.
The idea behind the above design is that as a Town Planner in the making, students should be able to sub-divide a land into the various land uses i.e. residential, commercial, industrial to mention but a few land uses.

This New Town is designed from scratch and designed according to a Master Plan and the site is a virgin land.
The design is to cater for the overpopulation in Osogbo the Osun State Capital (A New Town is mostly designed to relocate populations of people away from large cities by grouping homes, hospitals, industries, recreational e.t.c to form entirely new relative autonomous communities).

Timi-Ede New Town design started first cutting/dividing the land into blocks and the blocks were further sub-divided into plots.

Here the Design just started
This was few days back and since then i have been working on it day after day. In the process, lots of maps were produced;

The pictures above is the layout of the residential area designed for the low, middle and high income earners in the society which are part of several other maps that were produced.

All the required maps had been produced, printed and ready for submission to the course lecturer tomorrow morning.
