My Day as a Poll Watcher in Election
Yesterday, May 14, 2018 was the schedule for the Barangay and SK or Sangguniang Kabataan Election. After a week of campaigning and motorcading, all of the candidates were praying to have a win and serve to people of every community they are representing.
Every parties of candidates were looking for their poll watchers and assistants to give leaflets for the voters. I am lucky to be one of the many to be listed as a poll watcher. A sideline besides my daily selling of meryenda in the afternoon.
I started the day as early as 5:30 am by going to our meeting place for all poll watchers. Then we had our breakfast courtesy of candidates for the election. After that, we went to the assigned precinct of each and everyone of us. Our team leader reminded us to be cautious and be attentive to every voters who needs assistance.
By the end of the day, the election ended smoothly with no incidents of violence recorded and all are safe. Aside from that, I also claim an amount for my service.
