Ulog 30: Musing 1: Crypto Shenanigans, New Moon, Snow, Birds, Crazy Timid Dog,
I'm under orders to get here and muse. Daily, even, some say. I have pushy friends ;-)
Today is
the first day of the Biblical 10th Month. The New Moon was sighted in Jerusalem on Saturday evening so today is the first day of the tenth month until sundown today. It is nearing the end of Hanukkah. We are horrible at celebrating Hanukkah. But that's another day's musing.
CryptoMarket Shenanigans discussed at the end.
The Weather
It is snowing at my house with the temps hoovering right at freezing. Basically, it's been doing a snow-globe effect all day long. Very Pretty. Big fluffy flakes. Small flakes. Very occasional sleet. It is definitely winter now as I am washing our first load of thick wool socks -- just the socks. Them things are woolly and share the fleece so they get the washing machine to their selves. OH and yes the washing machine did get a new water pump courtesy of my husband, @mitchmiester.
The Birds
The birds have been enjoying the bird feeder. We now have some sunflower seeds to add to the bird seed mix. I'll do that tomorrow probably. The seed in the feeder is starting to be a little low. That's okay. Instead of the birds feeding the cats at the feeder very occasionally, they are now coming to the front porch to taunt the cats by stealing cat food.
The Dogs and Cats
One of our dogs is a socially awkward mess. And He is the bottom of the pecking order in the kennel. We have to let him out separate for him to eat -- especially if it's a raw meat night. Turkeys right now are running 25 cents on the pound because ... it ain't Turkey Day any more, evidently. These are the birds that smell so awful from the chemicals etc that it took the dogs a few times to decide not to turn their nose up at the meat. I feel guilty feeding them to my dogs. I feel horrified that people don't know what they're feeding their children.
Oh. The dog. Yeah. So. Last night was raw meat night. Bandit, the dog, took his piece and ran off to hide to eat it. Well, we kind of got forgot. Poor thing. Poor idiot. It rained all night. We know he didn't leave the vicinity of the kennel for very long at all, if ever. He's intensely loyal to the big dog. He doesn't want to miss out in case @mitchmiester lets them all out and goes for a hike with them. He's convinced the kennel is the only shelter in the whole world. Never mind the barn that is open in the back. Never mind the back porch that is covered and screened with a partial wall. (Besides that crazy intimidating stray female puppy dog hangs out back there. Heaven forbid he should deal with that much enthusiasm.)
So. This morning, Bandit was pretty wet. He does have a fairly waterproof fur system. But, still. So. We brought him in and warmed him up. He's only slightly less freaked out by household noises than Ha Kitten. At least Bandit considers us "good" while the verdict is still up in the air according to Ha Kitten. I may be gaining her trust some. I still have to catch her but the chase is substantially slower and shorter and no biting or clawing involved.
However. I've not seen Ha Kitten since yesterday morning. She does fit under the garage door and that is probably where she's hiding out. I hope. Tonight it does drop to 22F.
We've decided to put Bandit on a daily treatment of in-house hangouts.
Mrs. Kitty McKitty is perfectly disgusted with the whole idea of living outside for any length of time during the winter.
"You are in trouble. You will let me inside the house now !!!" said Mrs. Kitty McKitty to @mitchmiester

Stock Market and Crypto relations are tied together, for sure,
... as I learned in @accelerator MAP.
Last night, after Shabbat ended at sunset, I was listening to Greg Hunter's Weekly News Round up via YouTube. His guest was Gregory Mannarino (an active Steemian ~ @marketreport) It was late. I was not in the mood for the level of cortisol it required to consume the entire show. About 10 minutes in, I stopped.
However
I thought, "If these guys are right, the crypto-market is due for a pump beginning any moment now."
Guess what. Today BTC is moving upwards just a bit, along with most of the other cryptos. Including STEEM.
Will it last?
I dunno. I promise not to hold my breath.
And so.
I may bring myself to listen to the rest.

The big take away from the video: The sky is falling.
Question of the Day
Is President Trump the Q+ of the Q team?
Eventually the question will be asked ;-)
This is my socially awkward dog who has wrapped a raw chicken wing in the wet towel.
How I spent my Shabbat Morning entertaining myself while @mitchmiester slept.
- Appearing in clockwise order beginning with the sleeping dog. This is the stray young female dog, temporarily named Nelly, that we keep saying we're going to let go of before puppies happen.
- The foot is my foot wrapped in the full circle cape that my husband's sister in law made for him. While waiting on said man to wake, I was entertaining myself with a little text app. Meh. It's so so. Yes. Yes, I do find it relaxing to explore art apps.
- And, Lastly, Disappearing into the depths of the chair is Mrs. Kitty McKitty. The whole thing was rather shocking. Kitty sound asleep near Nelly. I was gonna share last night but ... stuff.

Ha! It's easier to read than one of our chats that's for sure. Topics crisscross all over our chats. Mostly I was just kind of in auto mode ;-) So the moral to the story is auto-mode is better than hurried mode. See?
I was inside and Mitch was outside so he sent it to me via Telegram. I cracked up! Between the weather and spare, uninvited animals, she's not a happy camper.
Alsoooo install partiko! It's super helpful really.
