Ulog 07: I Went Back To My Hometown For My Mother's Birthday

I and my family usually go back to my hometown at least once a year to celebrate my mother's birthday. It is a little far from where we are staying, so we don't get a lot of chanced to visit. But this year, only I was able to go to my hometown.

Maybe you have already known what happened to my mother-in-law in my daughter @tegoshei's post. She is in the hospital until now and it's already been more than one month. It's really hard to see her in that condition and also everyone is struggling financially.

Of course, it's a little sad that I couldn't go to my hometown with my whole family, but my mother understands it. My family promised her that when everything regarding my wife's mother would be okay, then we will do our best to visit her again.



I together with two other brothers went out with our mother for lunch. Our other siblings are not in the Philippines, so they couldn't celebrate with us.

Even though we had a lot of problems in the family, I'm happy that my mother is healthy. I hope my mother-in-law will wake up soon and become healthy again.




After having our lunch, we went to visit my father's grave. We lit some candles and offered our prayers. I went there with my mother, brothers, brother's wife, nieces, niece's husband and also my niece's son.





When I was staying there for a day, my wife called over the phone and talked with my mother to greet her. But as for my daughter, she was busy with work so she couldn't talk with her grandma. But the next day, she talked with her over the phone before starting her work.

I hope to visit my hometown again with my family. I know my family wanted to come but due to many problems, it was difficult for them to go with me. I hope everything will be okay soon.
