Possibilities (Ulog24)
Sense of Possibilities. I have always equated this to the word hope . For me, these are events in our live that may take place even though these things may seem impossible to happen. These are like the chances you would like to take in life in light of faith.
It is like me buying a transparent umbrella because I was hoping it would rain on that certain day.
I was stretching like a toddler awhile ago for minutes. I never felt this so hyped and excited to start my day. For the first time in forever, I had been well rested. Thank God for the enough amount of sleep at the right time.
I think it is quite obvious on my recent posts about how anxious I had been for the past few weeks. I was not even able to have good sleep for the past few days although I tried so hard. I had seen myself being tired and restless. I kept crying at night and had overthinking. Now, I feel like I had been released from such nightmare.
I never wanted to go back to that state again and if I do, I would continue to pray that God would give me enough strength from the people He would send.
Out of over a half million people in Cagayan de Oro City, I never thought of running to a classmate from primary school in graduate studies or even in the Certificate of Teaching classes to which I am currently enrolled. Mainly because most of the batchmates I know were already either engaged, married, or were busy and happy with motherhood.
But then life knows how to surprise you even if it is everyday!
On the first day of our class, I ended up sitting next to a very familiar face although I never had any idea who she is. Her name is Augelyn or Aug by the way. I am telling it right now because I might forget it later.
Although it is not clear, I am a type of person that you can (1)easily get along with or (2) be intimidated by how talkative I am though I try hard to limit it. I might end up being kicked out from the class for the very first time!
It was then few minutes before the professor came into our classroom when she asked me what primary school I came from. I told her I came from City Central School, which is the biggest public primary in our city with more than thousands of students enrolled mainly because it is situated at the heart of the city.
I remembered then that I got to be classmates with her once way back in primary school -- that was in third grade. I needed to confirm about this the next time we will meet! I told myself.
On the second day if our class, I asked her if we could meet up. I promised her then that I would hand her some review materials for the licensure examination for teachers and that we would review on some things. She agreed to me. Yay!
I told her we would be meeting on a tea shop downtown around one in the afternoon. On that day of meeting up with her, she told me beforehand that she have some errands to do so she might probably be a little late. Well for me it was okay. I was not in a hurry.
When she arrived, the first thing I told her was that I remember being classmates with her way back in the third grade. We both laughed then. Tadhana nga naman!
For hours, we got to review some stuff in english grammar and did some reading comprehension. And since we will be both be taking the LET with social science as our major, I got to introduce to her some principles in social science while munching the nachos she ordered. Munching food while taking a review is the best! If you were with us, you would have seen how enthusiastic I was during the couse of our review.
When evening came, we both decided to eat at 678 which is a Korean fastfood nearby. It was raining hard but luckily we only need to walk for few steps. We ordered the fire spicy noodles and then ddokboki. The cashier then gave us a RapMon card. I was like, can I have it? But at the moment we will eat here again, you will have the other one. She was just so nice to say yes but do not worry guys, I will not abuse her kindness - just this time with RM's photocard. Haha!
What we had last night was like a reunion plus we got to talk a lot about KPOP. I found an old friend who likes the same things that I like. I am looking forward to a well-established friendship. Thank you again, Lord.
Before I would also forget, thank you @surpassinggoogle for coming up with #ulog. It has been another great initiative of yours that a lot of us were so happy about. I also hope the @steemgigs family would get bigger and closer!
Lots of love and nachos,
Gail
