"Rise up, for a man who wakes up early becomes wealthy". Oh really? then how? Absurd. I only wake up early when there is an occasion or adventure awaiting for me. Just like today, I woke up early this morning because we are going to have a piece of adventure in a famous landmark in Mabinay with some of my relatives which is the Pinayun an peak, nicknamed as the sea of clouds. It became so famous here on Negros Island after a group of adventurer took an enticing photo and posted in on Facebook. A lot of people became intrigued and came to visit the mountain. I was their navigator today because I've visited Pinayun an before, but sadly I wasn't able to witness the clouds, cause it's all about the timing, if it rains the day before, there's a huge tendency of having a cloud formation appearing for tomorrow. But since it rained a little yesterday, I volunteered to visit it once again cause I have high hopes on seeing the cloud formation. They accepted it and then told them to bring a lot of water, a flashlight, extra tshirts and an extra water (just in case).

The moon was still up when we Started going to Bato (a place) where Pinayun an's Mountain base is located. Our means of transportation was just by motorcycle since the mountain was just near to where we resided. I mean, not that near as in very near but a little near-near maybe?, like 5-7 kilometers from home, near isn't it? (Hahaha sorry for the confusion). When we arrived there, my mom urged to have a picture, but it was still too dark, she said that we can focus the light to our body to have a clearer picture outcome, I told her to wait for the sun to come up cause lighting our flashlights might disturb the neighborhood and might thought that we're bandits, trying to rob their homes. Well, she took it in a joking manner so we began climbing to the mountain. I even joked that they can't go any further or at the peak of the mountain for they are old and have a weak physique. My auntie made a face and then challenged me on a race of who is going to reach at the peak first through running. I politely declined it cause I know she's gonna lose anyway. Kidding aside. Maybe we would end up having severe fatigue to the point that we can't make a single step. A fact.

When the sun came up we can see the beautiful mother nature structure of Mabinay while we're resting but, we can still see no clouds below. My uncle said that, maybe the fogs are still in a deep slumber and a light from the sun might awaken them and start forming in the base of the mountain. I was shocked to hear that hahaha. While me, my sister and my mom was panting heavily cause it was steep and my feet could not bare the track were taking. Glad I declined the race cause the peak was still far. It was time to go on but me, my mom, auntie and my cousins remained sitting on the wooden bench recharging our stamina, while my uncle was calling us to continue walking. You can't blame us.

20 minutes later, we were sweating and catching our breaths due to exhaustion, I kinda even regret going there 'cause, NO FOGS WERE APPEARING BELOW THAT'S WHY! It was also annoying because it started to drizzle and there were no trees, houses are present for as to have a shed to stay, we had no choice but to continue walking while its drizzling. A really cool day indeed.

I silently prayed that clouds above would go down a little kilometer below so that we can actually witness the nickname "sea of clouds" but it never happened. An hour passed and still no fog forming below. Sad life.

Resting again, the drizzle created a beautiful arch of rainbow and we can clearly see its both ends of it. We even thought to come down and look for a jar of gold coins or chocolates at the end of the rainbow but, we're really exhausted, maybe next time perhaps? (Exhaustion can make you go crazy I guess?)

We never reached the peak due to disappointment and exhaustion, so, we went down to the mountain and went home empty handed no!, I mean we took a lot of pictures so not that empty handed.

We are planning to visit it again next and maybe luck will be with us, a cloud or fog formation would be seen. Maybe you've got a lot of luck there, try visiting Pinayun-an peak and witness a breathtaking view above.
