A grocery shop in the UK
Just thought I would post this
I haven't seen many UK posts that show a grocery shop, so I thought I would share this, and how much it cost for all of it! This is for 1 person, and I already had quite a few cans and jars in the cupboard, so this was just a re-stock of some of the missing things, like protein.
All of these products are from Tesco, one of the biggest supermarket chains in the United Kingdom. Not only can you buy your daily necessities and food from it, they also have a nice range of clothes!
I did my shop through Tesco Whoosh, as I knew this would be a heavy shop, and I don't have access to a car currently. Not only that, but also out of slight laziness, which isn't great. Because this was a Tesco 'Whoosh' shop, it meant there was an added fee of a delivery charge of £2.99 (rounded up to 30 STEEM).
Tesco Whoosh is a slightly new shopping option offered by Tesco, it uses delivery services like UberEats, JustEat and Deliveroo to deliver the groceries to their customers. So this means, it's not meant for huge shops for families, so is a great cheaper option for individuals like myself. Not only that, but I can book it to arrive as quickly as 20 minutes after I've ordered my products! This is only possible in areas like cities (as far as I know). Unfortunately, the delivery charge being so low, means that I'm not sure how much the delivery person actually gets out of accepting the delivery (if they get the whole delivery fee, it's considered quite a low payment).

As you can see, most of my purchase was for my fridge, as I had been away for a bit visiting relatives so it was a bit empty.

I also got some food for my freezer. My fridge has a really small freezer compartment so I really had to limit myself haha. I also topped up on some flour, sugar and eggs as I really want to make some coffee cake soon!
In total, my shop was £30.94, which includes the delivery fee I mentioned. This means I spent roughly 309 STEEM!

I appreciate you highlighting the convenience of Tesco Whoosh, and the speed of delivery is impressive! It is a shame about the potential delivery fee distribution though. Hopefully, that's something that can be improved.
