When I first stumbled upon GoodDollar.org, it was more an instinct than a plan. An alpha release. Bare bones. Just an idea and a wallet. But something clicked. A universal basic income (UBI) powered by blockchain? That’s not just radical - it’s necessary. I jumped in. That was the start.
Back then, people around me thought it was another “crypto thing.” But for me, it was something else: a spark. A global experiment that didn’t ask who you were, where you came from, or what was in your bank account. All it asked was: Are you ready to change the world, one daily tap at a time?
The moment I claimed my first G$ coins, I knew this wasn’t just about free money. It was about freedom.
Why It Mattered (and Still Does)
I’ve been working across IT, finance, NGOs, public sector - you name it. I’ve led massive digital transformations and agile projects that shaped how systems work for real people. But GoodDollar? That wasn’t just another system. It was a movement.
It inspired me to rethink value creation, economic inclusion, and what it means to belong to a digital nation of changemakers.
It gave me the inspiration to quit the 9-to-5 life. I packed my bags, travelled, volunteered, and got involved in causes that genuinely matter. From tech consulting to planting seeds of change - literally and metaphorically.
What Keeps Me Coming Back
Every morning, I still open the app. Not just for the coins, but for the connection - the knowledge that someone in Nigeria, Nepal, Brazil, or Bosnia is doing the exact same thing. That ripple? It’s real. I’ve seen people buy data, food, services, and even start micro-projects with their G$.
Over the years, I’ve also witnessed the protocol evolve. Smarter tools. More use cases. But the soul of it- radical inclusivity and empowerment- hasn’t changed.
I share GoodDollar with anyone who’ll listen: crypto newbies, sceptics, visionaries. It’s part of my DNA now.
My Dream for the Future of GoodDollar
