A little man called Ty Segall.
I'd only been listening to your usual RHCP, Rolling Stones, Led Zep and the usual Boat That Rocked playlist and music seemed to be something that was in my life but not necessarily not part of it.
Then about three years ago my band's lead vocalist took a trip to London. The remaining members spent weeks on end practising in our garage, trying to hone our skills to "make it", as you do.
But when he returned he came bearing a gift.
Standing well above, in my mind at least, the rest of the music he returned with was this beautiful human being:

To say Ty Segall's music is good doesn't do it justice. For a Rock lover, I feel his 90+ tracks should be your modern day rock musician's bread. The Oh Sees are a great option for your butter and perhaps a dollop of Fuzz(A band with Ty in it) as your preferred spread.
Having just indulged myself in this gorgeous musical meal, a 19 year old me wanted more and there wasn't enough to go around.
So here's to hoping that this isn't as short a phase as the Garage Rock scene in the 60's and we'll have many more years of it to bless our ears.
If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.
