I think Turkey can forget its dreams at least ... Poland i dont know but i dont think much greatness will be achieved in the next few centuries as the entropy in the system slides out ... erosion, unattainable resources (you need them to keep machines going so there is a tipping point no matter what where it becomes harder and harder)

You could have said the Amish would take over the world as they're used to life without technology but considering the erosion of the planet

it actually looks more likely we'll find out what happens to mars in the next milennium
