Sat down to continue our journey in the strange lands of Qud

The latest char is about where the praetorian was but we have a much adjusted playstyle thats even more careful than before. So far no killed by amoeba while swimming. At the slightest sign of going under the treshold

RUN AWAY

So at lvl 10 we actually explored less than with Fautus Tabus but we DID more ...

Did the rust wells quest from Joppa after "whats eating the watervines" and found a nice new terrain type , the wells seems to be center-only with all sides walled off by these walls you find everywhere. In effect you CAN bash trough them although with a melee weapon it takes a really really long time and ten ton of hits so we havent tried that yet , the wells has a nice mechanic we havent seen yet where if you step over the edge at "ground-level" you fall down one stratum (doesnt seem to cost hitpoints)

The problem now is more not having containers to store the water ( = currency in game) than not having enough loot to buy water

This is a custom char with a base caste named "priest of all suns" which starts with the snake oiler trait, so we added some ego to THAT and divided the rest evenly across all stats, as perk we have night vision, not sure if thats the best min-maxer but it sure is super-handy for novices who dont know Qud too well i think. Added to that agility while levelling and went for weapon proficiencies as well as harvesting and cooking skills, AND terrain skills now too (gives bonuses on specific terrain) , a dual wielder with almost no hard armor, but due to high agility its a DV (dodge) of 13 vs an ac (or AV?) (armour / mitigation , or chance to hit or a combo, not completely sure) of 3 or 4, the DPS (well its TBS so lets say damage output then) is tasty with the carbide sword and axe , hits over 20 happen a lot so in the rest wells it felt like a dungeon 5 or 10 levels below that level for all but one strange monster we havent seen yet before, but we took the ranged approach (got a composite longbow and a ton of wood and steel and if needed carbide arrows) and some bow perks too by now.

Something double snouted that hit for around 20 dmg as well on a crit (i suppose that were crits) which at 59 HP is abit scary ofcourse so we ran .. came back, ran , came back and then it was gone

the npcs and monster fight each other too (i assume depending on their faction) while you're on another level up or down they continue , pilgrims will fight miner bots and something must have taken out that double snouted thing, so the road was clear , we got the 200ft of wire and Argyve gaves us something that I THINK is a teleporter which ports back to Joppa (talk about handy in dire situations) , its battery powered so we'll have to find bats or skills to make them and i havent tried it but that should be an awesome lifesaver

ofcourse games like that tend to have a "o but you cant use it in your darkest hour at the 10th level bottom of this dungeon fighting the boss with 10 hp left , SORRY!)

Got to the mithril in final fantasy 2 , at this rate we'll have finished 10% of all jRPGs on the mister by 2050 too , found a few nice things and few gaming history items too - mario is a fraud : the first platformer is something called space panic , but in essence Nintendos first was donkey kong ... (which also has Mario i think ... they sure like their plumbers up there in corporate yakuza japan - well maybe not officially but if you look at how Ninterror acts with the extortion rackets they might make belgian governments blush)

That said, things are going down really, not much clue about the world but i can feel the flow and the flow says : big people in big suits make life unlivable for troglodytes and guttertrash ...

Here we have the non-existing condition + the one that does exist but doesnt count and gets us a body that is 30 years ahead of its time like the rest of our being only as a body thats not too good ...

The fatigue, last year we noticed it got worse fast, if we stick to the two-cycle STRICT it seems to hold there, but the moment that gets disrupted it gets worse fast.

This years bonus seems to be the legs .. i have gone through my knee and ankle several times now sicne the start of this year and otherwise its "just another infection" but now it just doesnt go away, that right knee has been hurting for more than a month now.

My right wrist too i noticed ... strange to say but if you are in pain for most of the time your treshold is different , probably the brain that works around it and maybe another reason why its always so tired and out of focus, a lot of it goes to the work-around and a lot of it goes to a body thats in a constant state of repair and resistance ... add to that this wonderful place and country and the mind is in a constant state of resistance

broken batteries taht don't charge over 5 % anymore

it gets hard, and for more than a week now its like someone put Vitriol in the food or water - diluted like pope Borgia in the series, maybe to reboot us b/c we havent been used up voor middenstand en vaderland yet but in our opinion we were fubar more than 10 years ago

for some reason doctors in squatcity saw that, but overhere no one does ...

but at this rate in i think 5 to 10 years if this keeps going a wheelchair will make it kinda hard to say its "fake" or "the way of least resistance"

the easy way out

(after all its always been our ambition to sit in the place we hate most since the age of 15 , stuck for life with nothing , no future and no way out, thats why we fake it, so we make sure we can stay here)
