Intro: You can skip this if you want

Maybe you call it flute or something else in your language and culture but here it is called Banshee. A very interesting wind instrument.
In Banshee you can play single notes and only at a particular scale for every individual Banshee. There is a whole unique way of tuning it only which the makers are concerned with and a massive science regarding all this physiological acts to the intrument that produces ultimately very unique , and beautiful sounds. It is a very common instrument in Eastern classical music.
On a whole different note I would like to add that western and eastern classical music are oceans apart in how they sound and everything. I'll post more on that on a whole other post.
I really like all sorts of music. In fact being an electronic music producer and relying a lot on computer and it's possibilities. Still I found that there really is something about that very human touch. The playing of a real human vs. some synth instrument on a pc. That too there is also an arguable issue. Maybe I can elaborate on that later too.

How to play

You blow through a hole and adjust hand positions to make up the notes. Images below.

I have denoted the notes by Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti

I have included all the image of the 12 notes below. The notes in the middle of the natural notes are also given.
N.B: Natural notes: Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti
Semitone: one note difference. Two adjacent notes are 1 semitones apart.

You control octaves by the intensity of the air that you blow.

Blow from the stomach = lower octave.
Blow from the mouth normal intensity =mid octave
Blow from the mouth high intense blow= high octave

To play these next notes(So, La , Ti and notes in between) you have to cover 1, 2, 3 number holes with your left hand and then use the right hand as shown in the images.
