@cynetyc I want you to know I read the whole thing and I must say, coming from the trader side, I had no idea what SiaCoin was like on the service side. I thought it was actually usable. But when you compare the state of the network it seems to be inferior to Dropbox, Box, Amazon etc. I guess it's then my job as a trader to make the price go up until it's profitable to host /mine etc. Right? This is the first time I've seen anything SiaCoin related on Steemit.com. Upvoted! 🙌

I tried my best to do a impartial "talk" on my article and I can say about the prices :

It s true that the service is cheaper ...but how exactly? Well for each HDD you put there is a specific price that you can ask ...so if you have let us say 1 Petabyte of storage....you are a very rich person because you can ask a competitive price.
Also...to be able to ask a high price...you must have a loooong time running hdd .This make the network and its people trust you and use your services.

NOW..

Some people ask huge prices...and for this...is another issue...
As a client you must select what is best for you..but if you see high prices...maybe you can pay for something...that actually is not good.
This is not a big problem...but for this Siacoin tech must adress this issue too and put or hire some moderators to not let users abuse the pricing of hdd.
They still have a lot of issues...but what makes me let say ..still be positive is that they are working to improve the system.
The hdd cloud sale still has some hiccups but overall it is a good idea.
