It's not just the decade Rachel Maddow and her blue-anon ilk went full Alex Jones over Russian collision. It's the decades before that where every intervention skeptic, from Ron Paul to Dennis Kucinich, was accused of being a Kremlin puppet or useful idiot.

So when the usual suspects label Tulsi "a Russian asset", most people simply translate that to "she's antiwar", because that's what the neocons and neoliberals always lazily default to when trying to discredit someone that wants peace.

They might as well scream "literally Hitler" or "fascist" or any other term their hyperbole has drained all the actual meaning and seriousness out of.
