TRON and Steemit Integration Celebration Challenge|| My Thoughts on the integration of Steemit and the TRON ecosystem

Hello Everyone, about 2 days ago on the 2nd of December 2020, the steemit team announced that Tron was integrated into Steemit thereby allowing steemit users to get rewarded in Steem's native coins STEEM, SBD and Steempower as well as in TRX which is Tron's native coin. Sincerely for the first 5 minutes, I was really happy and was willing to dance around the street because it is an addition to the ecosystem then I started having another thought contesting the integration. As usual, when a person has two separate thought in one head, it takes proper organization of thoughts, proper weighing of pros and cons as well as proper understanding of the entire situation.

Is the Integration a good thing?

This thought bothered my head real time as I was trying to understand the purpose of the integration. Was it just a way to give out free money? After going through this, I came to a conclusion that there is nothing like free money, even a money from charity is regarded as a money of value and since users are being rewarded for creation and curation in Tron depending on the amount of SP gotten as reward in the post. Investors want a project that innovates and the decentralize blogging platforms have not been innovating. Whaleshares tried innovating but did it the wrong way but Steem proved to be the first and king in the industry and has showed others how to innovate.

What Benefit will this have for Steem?

When it comes to the benefit that Tron’s integration have on Steemit, there are a few I could mention like;

• Bringing more user to the Steem blockchain
• Encouraging PowerUp for curators
• Bringing it more investors
• Encouraging users to set 100% power up, since the Tron reward is done at 1 TRX to 1 SP in reward.

What Benefit will this have for Tron?

I do not think this relationship is one-sided, rather it should be mutual and in other for this to be mutual, Tron also has to gain from the partnership as well and Tron will be gaining;

• Increase in the numbers of users
• increase in Transactions
• Increase in the number of dapps being explored and improved by steemit users who would certainly fall in love with Tron.
• Steem users will learn the voting process and use their TRX to vote so as to earn dividend.

Will this be the end?

This is a good start for the two ecosystem and everyone is happy with the news but this shouldn’t be the end. I strongly suggest that there should be a use case for the Tron (TRX) earned on steemit on the Steemit ecosystem, so people will have their coin staked or left on the steemit ecosystem rather than sell as it is earned. The more the used case of TRX on the Steem blockchain and the more the interaction between the two coins, the better for the union.
