Your Network Is Your Net Worth

I often get questions about what I do for a living, what I do full-time, if I have a job, etc etc.

My answer to this question is multi-fold. I do a lot of things. I'm a hyper person and I have tons of energy to dump into tons of projects.

I wouldn't want to live any other way.

I want to always be looking forward and dreaming and working hard on my next big idea. I want to always be working hard to create a dream life around myself and be surrounded by people who want to do the same.

But isn't it hard to get these huge, lofty ideas off the ground? Isn't it hard to be free of the financial system and isn't it hard to work on all these projects at the same time?

Of course it's hard... If it wasn't hard, then everyone would do it and it wouldn't be worth the effort anyways!!

Your Network is Your Net Worth

One of the driving factors of my businesses, my investing, my traveling and my life is building my network.

I'm not a huge fan of the term networking. I think it's been overused by too many "self-help gurus" who are trying to convince you to buy some course that they've come up with.

The true way to network is not to buy some course. It's not to listen to 100 recordings by this expert or that expert.

The true way to network is to build relationships. It's to be a genuine human being with genuine interests.

You build your interests and then you share your interests with the world and the people that you meet. Some people may not like you. Some people may not like your interests.

But you will inevitably meet people who both like you and your interests and then you will click with them. You'll spark a great relationship.

And once you get that spark, you nurture it into a little flame. You nurture that little flame into a full-blown bonfire and you work hard to maintain that relationship.

You work hard to make the other person happy as well as yourself. If either one of you don't enjoy the time you spend together, then it won't work.

Relationships are tough business. They're also super subjective. Some relationships will be really easy to maintain and nurture and others will seem like climbing a mountain!!

You have to work on it though. This world of social media has changed the way we do business. It's all about who you know and how much who you know likes you as a person, influencer, investor, etc.

Have you been building meaningful relationships?

nice...agreed

I agree. I'm in a position where I may be out of a job if there are layoffs and I started to feel how important it is to have friends who can help you find so.something during hard times.

I agree. It's not what you can extract from your network it's what you can add. Life rewards participators and givers. Following.

I really enjoyed reading this post and totally agree. It is indeed about building authentic relationships instead of just "networking" around. In these modern times of technology, humanity and empathy is "the killer app". Thank you for sharing!

You know what ... I just thinking despite of joy that we experience through a real relationships in the world... But the social media brings us a new opportunity to generate value. Adding value is a critical part of any kind of communication... So let's create valuable things here as well... 💪💪 And one more matter, I just designed my logo today... How do you think about it ? 🤔
