Tree Tuesday
Seriously, Maine! It's only July!! There is always natural beauty decorating the Northern part of Maine, but, this is a fluke as the majority of it is still green. September brings on the kaleidoscope of color and the throngs of people for the annual leaf peeping!
Today is #treetuesday initiated by @old-guy-photos! Let's see those trees! If you post one, be sure to link it here
This was the view from the ferry that runs between Bar Harbor and The Schoodic Peninsula. This really did not do it justice, but, it was pretty early this morning and the sun almost didn't have a chance to shine. I have taken it to Winter Harbor, which is actually my preferred place of peace and tranquility in Acadia National Park. But, for today, Bar Harbor it is. The temperature is a nice 68 degrees Fahrenheit or 20 Celcius, but the temperature will climb higher as the day wears on.
Mount Desert Street Cemetery is also known as "The Village Burying Ground" and was established in 1790. Sea Captains, wives, children... The stones are almost all white and different shapes, all very eclectic. I walk through and read some of the inscriptions and notice the typology, so very interesting. Some I understand and the others I am taking pictures of so that I can look them up. I don't recognize some of the symbols.
It is located between the Congregational Church and Episcopal Church right there in downtown Bar Harbor.
Of course, there are lobsters here. It is all about the lobster! However, look beyond the lobster to the background. A sea of green.
Oh, yes.
I am running out of time, so I will end it here, but, I hope you enjoyed walking about with me here in Bar Harbor, Maine. I am sitting in the park with my free wifi putting this post together. Thank you, America. Land of the free. :)

Leaves turning already...welcome to my world. Hey we had out month and a half of summer, bring on the winter now lol.
Oh yes the land of the Lobster! I know it is nicknamed the Pine Tree State, but I think some of the south could put up a pretty good challenge to that.
Thanks for taking us along.
You did not have a month and a half of summer! It has been summer for a month and a half, but, very rarely visited there! ;)
Tip!
OMG! I just upvoted me instead of you! Ugh!
Pfft I see what you think of the Old Guy :( lol
OMG! Look again, diva. I deleted your first vote and then had to give you another vote. Next time, I will just leave it. Pfft! You cost me double!
I know Princess hence the "lol"
You are a bully and a diva OMG!
I am worth double!
200% ????
You are a total diva! Face it!
Hey now, some things are worth it. You know I am like a fine wine, I only get better with time :) as are you Princess lol.
Blimey that is an early fall (autumn)sign. Leaves turning already!? I'm just getting used to summer lol
The Victorians knew all about funereal art. It is an area worth a look to find the symbolism of the 'boneyard'. :)
Nooo! I am in one of the Northernmost states for a couple of days and it was a fluke. The rest of the area is green! :)
It is where I used to spend some time in the summer growing up, but, it was very much different than what it is now. The Victorians were a breed all of their own, artist in their own right. Cemeteries are one of my favorite places to peruse in a strange old town. Dead people tell no tale What a lie that is! ;)
Hi, Michael! Happy Wednesday!

Oh, my @luigi-the-gnome! Thank you!It is always so wonderful to have you along! XO
It's beautiful in Maine! In English, "Maine" means "tomorrow" ...
Lobsters in the wood? I have to admit, I've never eaten lobster.
Lobsters in the Wood That is a place that sells freshly caught lobsters. They have picnic tables and they will steam them for you and you can eat them right there- or take them home. :)
Maine means tomorrow? Ah!!! Thank you!
Tip!
I think lobsters are very tasty. I just ate crayfish ... I think their taste looks like a bit !?
They taste very different, in my opinion. Lobster is a much sweeter meat.
I think so, because the water they live...sweet and salt.
