TREE-TUESDAY // LOCUST BEANS TREE // ONE OF THE GIFT OF NATURE HUMAN CAN EVER IMAGINE
Hey Guys,
I'm glad to participate in the TREE-TUESDAY edition for the first time ever. And the tree I want to talk about is a locust beans tree( that we yorubas usually call ÌRÚ) The most amazing thing about this tree is that, its almost every where in the environment. It has seed and this seed is use for making locust beans though its seasonal that this tree grows the seeds. At first, was wondering how people came about to know that the tree seeds can be used for making locust beans. One thing is you can't find their seed coming out during the raining season.
- One of the amazing thing about the tree is that viewing up high its very wide and also tall which can provide so much amazing shade that provide cool breeze.
- Another thing is the branch of this locust beans tree is widely spread at about 9 to 10meters such that it helps in controlling the erosion.
- Another amazing thing is that its not planted with seed or something. Well I don't know maybe any seeds dropped here which germinated since then to this stage. Its very amazing having it around. During the dry season you will see the seeds coming out and you will some people coming around to plug the those seeds so that it can be prepared to produce locust beans.
