Travelogue S14 , Bali- 01 - Chilling @ Semenyak
One of the things that happened to me in the last two years was that I traveled a lot ! And I pretty much dragged my guy along with me ! I suspect he is now hooked :P
One of the places we hit was Bali. Its a set of islands , part of Indonesia. However unlike mainland Indonesia Bali predominantly has Hinduism as its main cultural base.
The Flight from New Delhi was exciting ! It took about 5 Hours.
We landed in the morning and after a short rest decided to hit the beach ! Seminyak is one of Bali’s most upscale beach areas, where the top draws are its chilled-out vibes and the party like ambiance.
Seminyak Beach stands out from the other beach resort areas chiefly in the type of crowd it attracts. Bali first emerged as a tourist destination for hippies and surfers. Seminyak offers a splendid coast of dark sand with golden patches.
The beach is popular with expats and has a polished feel to it, you’ll find a pretty fashionable and chic scene. The place is a shopping hub with rows of boutiques and showrooms along its main roads and side streets. Some of Bali's best dining venues and world-renowned nightlife spots that host international gigs are also located in Seminyak.
The beach area is literally a party zone with cafes, bars, pubs, and eating joints ....from a romantic evening by the beach to a wild party to people looking to hook up and have a good time ! You can find all types of people here ! Its a menu for you to choose !
The Sunsets are quite breathtaking !
We finally decided to wind down our first day in Bali over a quite dinner !
