The "Levada das 25 Fontes" is one of the most popular in Madeira Island. Its name lives up to the number of fountains or small waterfalls that can be counted when we arrive at the site.
From Calheta towards the 25 fountains, the path contains a tunnel and reveals wonderful landscapes and sensations. Along the way you can enjoy a wide variety of endemic species of flora and fauna of the Region. Enjoy contact with nature and absorb all it has to offer!
The waterfalls gushing toward a magnificent lagoon. Take a break and open your mind. There are those who dive in the freezing waters!
After enjoying the 25 fountains, continue on your way to risk where you can admire a splendid waterfall. Finish the journey with a visit to Rabaçal's house, which looks tiny in the face of the imposing mountains surrounding it. Enjoy recovering strength with a snack or simply to relax.
