Is This The Best View In Medellín?

in #travelfeed6 years ago (edited)

Medellín is famous for its stunning mountain panoramas. Have I found the best spot to take it all in?

Pueblito Paisa is a popular tourist destination in the city, located on the top of a hill called Cerro Nutibarra on the west side of the river that splits the city in half.

Pueblito loosely translates to tiny town. Throughout Colombia, there are beautiful small towns called pueblos that many people from the city retreat to during long weekends.

Pueblito Paisa was created to resemble one of the small towns found in Colombia. There is a central courtyard surrounded by stores selling souvenirs, a model classroom and bedrooms, and displays with information about Colombian culture and wildlife.

In the center of the courtyard is a fruit stand where you can try one of the local fruit juices.

I opted for the jugo de lulo which is one of my favorites. (Kinda looks like beer right?)

After walking around the pueblo, you can walk up two flights of stairs to witness one of the most stunning 270-degree mountain vistas you'll probably ever see.

Once you’re at the top, make sure to try an oblea, a sweet treat composed of two large, thin circular wafers with arequipe in the middle.

So is the view from Pueblito Paisa the best view in Medellín?

The truth is that it's nearly impossible to find a BAD view in this city.

One thing is for sure: this view is up there with the best.
