Welcome to the 60th edition of #traveldigest! Enjoy!
As always all posts featured here will be put on our Editors Choice Map.

Hi. It's @choogirl here. As you may have seen in our ealier post, Steemit Worldmap is experiencing some major technical difficulties. Unfortunately, we cannot get hold of @blueorgy to access the code to fix it. This means we cannot see new posts added to the map meaning #traveldigest is forced to take a hiatus after this edition. The good news is that all posts that use the tag during this period will appear on the be map once it's up and running again. So please continue to add your posts to Steemit Worldmap as normal, knowing that they will appear in the future. I will be upvoting quality, undervalued travel posts from this account during the downtime, although nothing will be promoted until we can write #traveldigest again.

#1 Scottish Highlands, the UK

New steemian @nikonmarshall is back with yet another gorgeous travel post; this time showcasing the Scottish countryside. Starting in Edinburgh, he takes the Scottish Highlands scenic route to Callander near Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. After spending some time enjoying the view, he's back on the bus heading towards Glencoe and Fort William. In the afternoon he stops at Loch Ness to search for Nessie before returning the Scottish capital.

#2 Aigues-Mortes, France

Staying in Europe, we skip over to France and head down to Aigues-Mortes—meaning Dead Water—in the country's south. This town is located about six kilometres inland from the Mediterranean Sea and still accessible via a channel. Until the 16th century, Aigues-Mortes was one of the most important transport hubs on the French Mediterranean coast. @pipurilla explores the city walls photographing different views of the historical city centre and the wall itself.

#3 Saalbach, Austria

Finally today, we head northeast to the Austrian alpine resort town of Saalbach with @steef-05. Austria is a popular winter destination for the Dutch since the drive time is 9-10 hours and the snowfields are top notch. The best conditions for snowboarding—and taking awesome photos—are cold, sunny weather with blue skies. In Austria this is called Kaiserwetter. @steef-05 presents us with some cool GoPro footage of his latest snowboarding adventure, which will probably make you want to go even if you hate snow and can't ski or snowboard to save your life, like me.
