Hey there steemit buddies,
cheetah.jpg

Hope you are all well, Happy Tuesday!
Here I come with a new post.
I am currently at South Africa, and had the experience to visit an awesome animal park at Broederstroom: Lion & Safari Park.

I was sent to South Africa for work and will be for quite a while. My birthday date ended up being while I was here. So to have more of fun day activity, I and the family decided to move from Sandton where I'm stationed right to Broederstroom. It was quite a ride, 1 hour - 40Km.

And so we got there:

They had plenty of options for the tour: it could happen during the day, the night, on your personal vehicle or a tour bus. We chose to go around on our own.
Take note that although it's popularly known as the Lion's park, the full name is "Lion's and Safari Park", and we don't expect only lions. ;-)

Here are some shots:

Look at the SIZE of that thing, and how close it is to us. It's nothing like what you see on TV hein!

"One of the tour guides we met told us that the park and surrounding areas have 120 lions!
Can you imagine that?!"

Look at how beautiful Zebras are, they are more majestic when seen real life. - Believe me!
But here the question lies again, are they black with white stripes or white with black stripes?

After all the driving and dust accumulation, we got the chance to met face to face and pet some wild ferocious animals: we could meet either Lion Cubs and grown Cheetahs. What sounds more fun here?

Haha, that's me acting like I'm not afraid! Check the Cheetah on the right though!

They are so fluffy!

Here is a bonus: we could also feed this loooong necked friendly animal, getting the chance to meet it right up close. Quite a friendly giraffe!

Honorable Mention
Right at the entrance there was an EXTREMELY funny and friendly doorman, here is a sneak peek:

That's all from the team!
Peace and Love!

Sorry but I don't agree with drugging dangerous animals so that people can pose with them. You probably mean well, but you're not helping matters. These animals shouldn't be caged up and certainly not drugged up for human enjoyment.

I also had that question when I was there, but was told that they are trained since young, and had just eaten before we went in. That's why you see them laying relaxing.

Here here @mojorisin it's sad that humans care more about their photo collection than the welfare of animals

That's good to know, but there are many places that drug them. Zoos especially and probably not in Africa. I know zoos in Asia definitely drug tigers etc. It's disgusting.

Say what? Wow, man - this is really amazing. I would be scared to death if I had to come near a cheetah. I can see you really have deep love for animals, you are not afraid of them, you just come near him casually. Animals are very instinct based creatures.
If I were to come near him, while I'm almost scared to death and he would feel it - I'm sure, that it could end tragically for me. Anyway, you have some balls of steel and a big heart to have a cheetah for a pet man. Take a good care of them!

hahaha... You just need to be chill mate. :-)
His not actually my pet, I was just visiting an animal park. ;-)

Wow... I love this but it could sometimes be scary.... What do you think???

Just go for it! Don't overthink.

OK no problems then... Thanks bro...

I have a zoo here in Nigeria if you care for a travel. Also cheetah for sale.

Yeah I wouldn't mind you come visiting as well.. Nigeria is a cool country....
