Spring visit of the Village Musem in Bucharest Romania.
Bucharest is the capital of Romania, a country located in the east of Europe next to the Black Sea. The winter is over, the snow has melted, and the grass has started to become green. Being a sunny day and also a Sunday I decided to go visit the Village Museum. The exhibits at this museum are not paintings or sculptures, but old houses in which people used to live from all around the country. There are different styles of very old architecture.
During this visit I also took my small trusty dslr camera, a Nikon D3100 with a 35mm f2 lens. Walking around I snapped a few candid photos of the surroundings. Scroll down to take a virtual walk together with me on the paths inside the Village Museum from Bucharest:
This is the sign that tells you the museum path starts from, and basiclly the direction you should go to. I choose to go the other way 😋
On the right we see the back of an old mill and people enjoying the good weather or just resting having a chat with eachother.
In the gardens of a few houses you can find pop-up shops that sell hand made souvenirs, traditional foods and cookies.
I was intrigued by the roof of this barn. People used to keep the food for the animals in buildings like this. The way the wood tiles are arranged on this roof is amazing if you think about the fact the the only tools used to make it are just wood carving tools, like knifes and saws. Making roofs as a art form...
This is how a garrage looked 200 years ago. You can see a carriage on the left.
Different styles of architecture one next to another.
The back of a traditional Romanian wooden church.
I hope you liked the this short stroll around the Village Museum in Bucharest, Romania. If you enjoyed the photos and it gave you a positive feeling, please upvote, resteem or promote this post. Don't worry be happy. 😏
