I'm travelling throughout Southeast Asia and would love to share my experience, ideas, feelings, as well as some advice regarding must see places, planing trips, tickets and itineraries. Please leave your comments below, if there is anything you would like to know and i will try to cover it in my further posts.

One ticket to Pangkor Island, please!

Once a pirates home-port now a perfect weekend getaway - amazing Pangkor Island.  It has everything one could wish for - relaxed and cozy atmosphere, numerous beaches and some stunning sunsets..

Bus from Kuala Lumpur to Perak (Terminal Lumut)

Pangkor Island (Thai "Pang Ko" - beautiful island) is quite easy to get to. Taking a bus from Kuala Lumpur to the ferry port at Lumut is just three hours ride, and by far the cheapest solution to get to Pangkor as it only costs around RM27-RM34 (6-8 USD).

from Kuala Lumpur (TBS (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan)) - to Perak (Terminal Lumut)

Buying a ticket is easy and could be done either online through Easybook or at the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) main long distance bus terminal in Kuala Lumpur.

Once at Terminal Lumut head to Lumut Jetty which is right opposite of the bus station and is only a 3-5 min walk to get to the Jetty.

Lumut Jetty operates daily 07:00 - 20:30. Round trip Lumut-Pangkor costs RM14 (3 USD) with boats leaving every 30 min. A boat ride itself is about 35-40 min with two stops, Pangkor Town - 2nd stop.

Good article.
Pangkor is lovely and so is Lumut , the town on the mainland with connecting ferry services to the island.

What would also be nice is for you to travel bike motorcycle to Lumut and then to Pangkor. The scenery during the ride would be splendid. ..and if you are biking :
We at Moto Aid Malaysia (24hour Nationwide Bike Assist / Towing / Rescue) wishes all bikers #saferiding #worryfreebiking.
