The Hotnitsa eco-trail
The Hotnitsa eco-trail is located near the village of Hotnitsa. The trail itself starts from the Hotton Waterfall, one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the country. It is about 30m high. The eco-path passes along the Bohoth River and reaches its source. There is a network of stairs and bridges that will take you to the end point of the eco-path. Interesting are the cascading waterfalls that shape the river. The length of the Hotnike Ecopath is about 1.5km. There is also a separate car park where you can leave your car. At the beginning of the eco-trail at the Hotnitsa waterfall there is also a picnic corner.
The distance from Sofia to the village of Hotnica is about 220 km and the distance from Veliko Tarnovo is only 14 km. In the village of Hatnitsa you can see the remains of ancient Roman and Turkish towns. You can also jump to Veliko Tarnovo and get on the Tsarevets fortress.
