Travelman in Thailand: Khao Sok National Forest's mountains, rubber trees, flowers, a damn, and some more stuff.
Here I am at the Khao Sok damn visitor center...I'm not swearing, there's a big structure there that holds back water...
This is a tap on a rubber tree. The owner of Nung House told me that in the dry season men go out at night and harvest the collected rubber sap...
Rubber tree forests are planted all throughout this region. We passed many of them along the highway...
Kayakers on the river...
Tired of your hair getting wet while riding your scooter in a rainforest, have no fear! Simply attach one of these and you'll stay dry...
Flowers...
Sites on Khao Sok Lake...
Outside the second cave we explored, it had a pool of fish inside. We turned off all our head lamps and the pool glowed turquoise from sunlight traveling through the water from outside.
Some kind of animal shell...
A 360 degree view of a viewpoint at Khao Sok Damn. It just had it's 30th anniversary. The lake was created by the Damn.
. . A view of the valley beyond the damn from the highest point at the visitor center...My stay at the Misty on my last night in Khao Sok. It rained HARD the last day...
I'm not sure what was written in Thai on the door to my room, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it read "Seattle Seahawks Breast Cancer Awareness Uniform Room." .....
And a cat that demanded my attention while I was on the wifi...
Next stop for Travelman, Ao Nang (a pit stop before a ferry to an island)
