Foula Island

Foula is one of the UK's most remote inhabited islands.

Sitting alone in the North sea, west of the Shetlands, it is currently home to a population of 56 people.

Plus quite a few Shetland ponies.

    Only 56 people, how remote. Shetland ponies definitely look like they are well adapted for the climate.
