Preface to my travel blog

So as you all probably know, or are about to find out, I sailed around the world with my parents. We left in 1999 and finished in 2006. In our travels we visited 39 different countries and made lots of friends in each one. There were good times and bad times, even scary times. I can recall at least twice where I didn't think we would survive and several times when we thought our boat was a goner. If I could do it again I would in a heartbeat. The memories I made are unforgettable to say the least. Our adventure opened my eyes to many wonderful cultures.  

I know y'all are eager to hear my experiences so I'll leave this short and sweet and start my blog series. If you're not buckled up, you should be. My story starts out a little slow but as it goes on it picks up the pace and takes turns you wouldn't expect. Just bear with me here, I have 39 countries, even more towns/cities, and miles of ocean in between to cover.
