Exploring Greece: Delphi and Arachova
Once again I’m stuck in residency permit limbo. Currently, I need to renew my residency permit once a year. Every time I go in for renewal, I’m given a temporary permit which allows me to legally stay in Greece while I wait for my application to be reviewed and, hopefully, approved. This process can take anywhere from 3 months to a year. While on the temporary permit, I’m not allowed to travel anywhere other than between my home country and Greece. For a travel addict like me, this has been difficult.
Luckily though, Greece is an amazingly beautiful country with so much to see! My family recently came to visit and took a two week road trip through the Peloponnese and then into northern Greece before heading back to Athens. Delphi was the last stop on our trip, and the only one I currently have pictures from because my laptop is at the shop. So I thought I’d share. Here are some photos from the ruins at Delphi and the nearby village of Arachova.
I can't help wondering what it would have been like to go there when it was newly built! Beautiful photo's.
I'm sure it must have been a truely amazing sight to behold!
Gorgeous!
