Sochi. Part 1

in #travel7 years ago

Today I want to tell you about the wonderful Russian resort city, the city that hosted the XXII Winter Olympic Games. Its unique location allows you to simultaneously play tennis on the Black Sea coast, and then sit on the "Lastochka" train, and after only 35-40 minutes to climb the mountain slope and go skiing.

There were many stories related to these Games. Corruption scandals, rumors that the Olympic facilities will not be built on time, that the city will be stuck in traffic jams, etc. Fortunately the rumors turned out to be only rumors and the Games were held at the highest level. But that's in past, and I want to tell you about Sochi after the Olympics.

About Sochi, where SCYBRIDGE is located - the longest suspended pedestrian bridge in the world, 439 meters long and 207 meters high!

Stunning views of the Akhshtyr Gorge and the Mzymta River open from the bridge

About Sochi, where you can ski. Roza Hutor

Extraordinary views of the autumn slope:

A bit about the resort of Rosa Khutor.
On the territory of Rosa Khutor there are many modern hotels for every taste and purse. Of course we should admit that during the ski season the cost of living can increase several times and calmly reach 3-4 thousand USD for 7 days for a double room. Also I want to note the presence of many cozy restaurants and bars that offer cuisine from around the world (in my opinion, Russian especially manages Italian cuisine). Also on the territory there are several forest hiking routes, you can raft on a boat on a mountain river, go horseback riding through the mountains, and just stroll along the waterfront, viewing beautiful houses and listening to music from the nearest cafes.
