The Geek Explores #4 : Tuasan Falls At The Island Born of Fire
Tuasan Falls is a hidden gem located at the western part of the island born of fire - Camiguin. The falls is naturally prestine and is surrounded with lush greens. The pool where the water cascades consists of natural rock formation.
The site is now more accessible compared to few years ago wherein you have to trek through the rivers with big rocks just to get to the falls. Although it is still under developed, I would love it to stay this way - untouched and very natural.
The route and view going to this falls is very fascinating and very pleasing to the eye. With lofty mountains around you, healthy bushes - you would really see nature's amazing beauty. Tho a little bit far from the highway, the place is worth your time and effort.
A few meters away from the falls' basin you can already feel the cold water splashes on your skin. A few tourist swam into the center of the basin and fought with the water's strong current.
Take a look at the photo below and see how clear the water is!
I wasn't able to take a splash in the falls as it was slightly raining and I was already feeling cold. I would love to visit this place again and take a dip on its cold waters one day.
How To Get There
The falls is located in Brgy. Mainit at the town of Catarman. The most comfortable way to reach the falls is by hiring a multicab but for adventurers, renting a motorbike would be so much fun. There are lots of bikes for rent around the island for PHP 200 - PHP 500 per day. You can also hire a tourist guide and they would be happy to take you there.
Environmental Fee :

There is something about forests and waterfalls that just calms my spirit. Even when I look at photos on my screen. Was it cold? Thanks for Making my day.
@jeanwandimi yes, indeed nature has its wonders. Totally cold, I didn't even had the brave soul to swim in the cold waters. You should try to visit Philippines' natural wonders. See you around! Followed you. Thans for checking out my post. :)
Wow, that is a beautiful waterfall! And I love all the lush green plants too. I would love to go there someday. That water is so clear! It looks like it would be a fun place to swim, so hopefully you get to go back on a warmer day. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks @derekrichardson for taking time to read. Yes, I'd love to go back there on summer. I think that would be the perfect timing. :)
