Visiting the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Thailand
Hi, I'm Francisco and I like to travel!
I went visiting the Doi Suthep, I hope you enjoy my pictures.
The Doi Suthep is a sacred Thai site that was founded in around 1383. The temple is 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Chiang Mai. I was in the city so I took one of the famous Chiang Mai's Red Trucks and after about 30 minutes up the mountain I arrived to the entry point of the temple where there were some very nice gardens filled with traditional sculptures.
It's a good climb of 309 stairs to reach the temple. I didn't take any pictures since it was crowded but the two next pictures were taken from the top of the stairs.
After climbing the stairs and get inside the temple grounds, all visitors must be appropriately dressed and with no footwear. It's a beautiful, extravagant, place:
Extra: Since the temple is on the top of the mountain you can enjoy a nice view of the city
It was a very good day and I really recommend if you go to Chiang Mai that you visit this temple! It's a beautiful place to walk around, enjoy nature and the local culture and relax. Also, go visit the Elephants Sanctuaries, you can check my post about it here :)
It's exciting! Thanks for the pleasure!

That's gorgeous
I'm glad you enjoyed :)
I absolutely love it. Way worth the effort of 309 steps. I know how hard these steps can be. High temperature + humid are a crazy combination :D
Thank you for sharing!
I see you understand the tropical countries issues ! ahah
It was truly worth it :)
People with mobility issues can take a shuttle!
