Traveling to Thailand at the end of the year is a good idea as the weather is cooler than other times of the year.

And experiencing Ayutthaya at night time is recommended as the gorgeous lights at the ancient temples will surely impress you.

Wat Ratchaburana is one of the best ancient ruined temples in Ayutthaya Historical Park that is well preserved.

The highlight of Wat Ratchaburana is the main Prang which looks striking with a real Thai architecture. It is tall and large, made of laterite on a square base. There are chedis in all four directions and there are stairs leading up to the prang. The spire is tall and pointed, looking like a corn cob. This prang is one of the beautiful prangs in the Ayutthaya Historical Park.

At night time, you can admire Wat Ratchaburana among the serene and magical atmosphere with the gorgeous lights.

The breathtaking scenery can invite you to stroll around and explore more of the wonderful architecture.

In addition to the beauty of the architecture of Wat Ratchaburana, you can experience a vivid local market and street foods stalls called “Ayutthaya Night Market” which is normally held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 04.00 p.m. - 09.00 p.m.

At Ayutthaya Night Market, you can try various kinds of delicious Thai foods, ancient Thai sweets, fresh Thai fruits, and awesome souvenirs from Thai local products, etc.

Walking in the Ayutthaya Night Market will make you feel as if you were in ancient times as the market is next to Wat Ratchaburana and most of the vendors dress in beautiful ancient Thai clothes.

It will be great that you can experience the local way of life (most of the vendors and local people look friendly) and this will be one of your good memories of Thailand.

P.s. I presented you some photos of Wat Ratchaburana and Ayutthaya Night Market in my old posts, but these photos are from a new trip.
