Varanasi and Ganges!

Captured on my trip to Varanasi!

Ganga-One of the largest river in Asia,Ganges,is a sacred and a river of high religious importance in Hinduism,and other Indic religions.
It is being treated as a mother goddess among Hinduism.Ironically,its also among the world's most polluted rivers.Tonnes of non biodegradable waste is collected every year,also it is critically endagering marine life.

However,recently many new initiatives are undertaken by Government of India for the sake of cleaning the river.Many volunteers and NGOs are coming forward as well for the same,contributing with various capabilities.

Hope the river flows clean and afresh!
