A big  fraud of millions rupees  has been exposed with respect to Orange Train  Line Project. An amount of more than Rs. 2.5 Crore has been exposed to be retrieved through illegal method  which was not even utilized afterwards.

How to Happened 

Investigation staff reported that three roads have not been constructed due to mutual understanding of contractor and District Administration. Without restructuring of roads, millions of rupees have been paid especially to the favorite contractors.  The ACE (Anti-Corruption Establishment)  chief added the government had confiscated Rs2200 million security of two contractors involved in the use of substandard material in erection of 48 pillars.

 Under the Orange Line Metro Train project, the Punjab government is laying a 27.1 kilometre rapid transit line which is expected to benefit 250,000 people every day. – APP
