Seaside life
This was the most surreal thing I saw on my trips last year in my own country.
It was surreal in every way. And it kind of reminded me of a scene from a Fellini movie.
It was October and it was already very cold. I was with my winter jacket and I was happy I had it, because heading for the sea coast in Bulgaria, perhaps no one would have thought that it would suddenly become so cold.
So, walking along the coast on this gloomy and cloudy cold day, to see such an unexpected sight, for me at least was a very strange feeling.
Here, in this thermal pool, there were some foreign people, as well as local ones.
And I couldn't take more pictures of them because, although I sometimes find the courage to photograph awkward things, other times I can't. Like I couldn't photograph a half-naked woman taking a thermal shower a little further down, along with a bum..
So, this place is apparently used by homeless people to shower themselves (which is actually great).
It is also used by some strange locals. And by foreigners.
In fact, I was so amazed by what I saw because I didn't know my own country. I do not know, for example, that in this city, north of the Black Sea coast, there are thermal springs.
And I also did not know that so many foreigners live here.
Have you heard about this news of Deutsche Welle that Germans are settling on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast en masse, due to the lower levels of vaccination of the population and the lack of drastic rules and restrictions in the country? 😃
Well, I don't know whether that's true, because I've already caught this mediа in truth distortion.
But if you ask me where I would live in this country, it is right there - at the sea.

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
Personally, I am a sensitive soul with a strong sense of justice.
Traveling and photography are my greatest passions.
Sounds trivial to you?
No, it's not trivial. Because I still love to travel to small and not so famous destinations.🗺️
Of course, the current situation does not allow me to do this, but I still find a way to satisfy my hunger for knowledge, new places, beauty and art.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing things even in the backyard of your house.😊🧐🧭|
